I received this in my email this morning and although I am not yet old - though rapidly approaching it - it summed up my philosophy of life pretty nicely (I already recognise myself in a lot of it!). This is how I want to be in my old age and know that when my time comes to slip this mortal coil and return to oblivion, I will have enjoyed it to the last - life is too short to do otherwise!

I'm going to be uploading some photos, hopefully next week, of a trip I took to Switzerland walking in the alps. They are a different sort of spectacular to the Pumpkins. ;)

Reality Activist said… - Like minded among atheist is a fallacy. We come from various levels of society and political viewpoints. Not believing in a god is not a strong enough bond to promote communities. Similar beliefs are, however. Such as Humanist, Brights or some other common philosophical belief. The problem is that beliefs like religious beliefs are prone to vary degrees of fundamentalism also, which breeds various levels of prejudice. It is the same game, just a different name.
