I think I've responded to you, you can let me know if you got my message(s).
I'm intrigued by your comments that there are many other atheists out-there.
I'm not so sure. For example, I am self employed and was told recently that I lost a gig because I made no secret of my lack of religious belief. I suspect that this has happened on more than one occasion.
Should atheists just shut up and take it? I don't know but I feel that I am keeping very quiet about my belief system even though it sickens me to be subjected to the power of the church in education and health for example.
OK. I know that I've been ranting a bit, but perhaps you see why I may not make a very popular member of your group. However, I'll still attend the meeting on the 19th if you'll haveme,

Like you I also wonder if there's many like me out thare
