You might really enjoy the Street Epistemology group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/streetepistemology/

There are a lot of smart, articulate people there.  Quite nice too.  If you're interested in finding out more about the Socratic method in practice. 

There's a guy who posts videos of his Socratic encounters with religious people, and lots of discussion.

This is truly unacceptable. People can DIE from too much water.  People have died in water-drinking contests.  You were lucky you weren't so dutiful you followed his advice! 

I suggest complaining about this cardiologist to the medical board or whatever.  It might save someone's life.
