This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)See More
"I really don't think he should. I have nothing wrong with Bill Maher getting awards. I think he's awesome. If you look at the actual description of this particular award, he really doesn't fit criteria.

"E Nomine. One of my favorite bands. Tons of Christian religious reference. I think one of their albums is nothing but verses from the Bible. I figure it's like this, I would listen to music about the Lord of the Rings universe just the same as…"

Chris, please consider joining my new group HERCULANEUM: A PLACE FOR MEN. Herculaneum is a group where men can discuss and explore the ideas, goals, demands, ethics, sexuality, and nature of manhood and masculinity. It is a place where we are free to be ourselves, and discuss the issues most important to our identities as men.
I have already started two discussions to get us going: How do we define manhood in the 21st century? and Rites of Passage: A Lost Ritual?.
This is a private group, and discussions can be viewed by members only. Membership is open to men only. Please check it out.
Chris: Thanks for joining Recovering from Religion. This is Darrel Ray, Author of The God Virus: How religion
infects our lives and culture. We don't have a group
in your area, but I would be glad to work with you to start one
if you like. It is pretty simple and very rewarding to
facilitate an RR group. Let me know if you are interested. We
now have 11 meetings in 9 cities and growing rapidly. If you are not in a position to start a group, you may know someone who is. Please let them know about RR. Thanks again for joining.
