Transpo, the bus company for South Bend/Mishawaka, decided to remove all religious ads. The message to be happy was too controversial.

About Me
Hello. My name is Charles. I live in Greenwood, IN. I went to Ball State where I got a degree in Fine Arts that I don't really use. I have always identified as an Agnostic/atheist as long I can remember. Recently found a couple groups on Meetup that made me think I would like to find more like minded people to actually talk to in real life. (I still haven't gotten around to attending any meet ups yet though) I recently started listening to The Skeptics Guide to the Universe podcast and joined their forum. I think that has led me to finding other interesting sites on the internet, which is ultimately how I ended up here.

I got a Wacom Bamboo tablet for xmas, and have been practicing with it on a site I used to mess around on some a while back. (I post as Rook on that site because it is my favorite chess piece.)
Anyway, this is a work in progress the subject of which some people here should be familiar with.

Edit: This is it finished now.

Greetings, Charles! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Not much future in hobboing? But with this economic slump it just might make a comeback! Then I'll be in high demand. Although the wealthy heir scheme doesn't sound so bad either..

As for a move to atheism, it was really more of a definition shift than anything. I realized that although I didn't think a god could be disproved, I was increasingly convinced that none existed. I suppose if things got more precise I might identify myself as an "agnostic atheist". An atheist in the manner of Russell's teapot scenario.

What about you? What caused you to move from one to the other?

Point of Inquiry is the most professional sounding cast that I have heard. I also think that D.J. asks good questions. Although, he can take a full minute to get to the question.

Oh yeah -- BNL is awesome. I've seen them 4 or 5 times. Those guys are great musicians, incredibly fun, and you can tell they're all best friends even after 20 years in a band together.

Do you have a favorite song and/or album? I've always been partial to Gordon, but find my favorites continually change.

Did you happen to listen to the XTC song on my page? I don't know anyone else who listens to them at all, but a search on AN shows that at least a few other atheists appreciate them. (Don't go to any trouble to listen - just curious.)

Hello fellow atheist Hoosier! I live in Fishers, but my work recently relocated to the south side on Indy so I'll likely be moving your way next summer. I've looked into the meetups in Indy as well but haven't attended. If you decide to go, let me know how it was.
Happy new year!
