Atheist Does Not Mean Skeptic/Freethinker

Besides my joys of being skeptical of religion, I get much pleasure in applying the same skepticism to politics. Both are fundamental sets of beliefs with herds trying to justify their side and win people over by using those beliefs. They both use fear of "the others" and try to make themselves superior in all ways. So, why would an atheist leave one set of beliefs and pick up another set from a political party? (One that promotes a sense of superiority of all other parties and can save the…See More

Rewinding evolution: Scientists alter chicken DNA to create embryo with 'alligator-like' snout

Posted on August 19, 2011 at 9:02am 2 Comments

Scientists have undone the progress made by evolution by altering chicken DNA to create embryos with alligator-like snouts instead of beaks.

Experts changed the DNA of chicken embryos in the early stage of their development, enabling them to undo evolutionary progress and give the creatures snouts which are thought to have been lost in the cretaceous period…

Someone shared this link with me today. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/is-jesus-christ-a-socialist/

It's a good read but the best part was the poll at the bottom of the article:
"Do you think Jesus was a socialist?"

One of my favorite websites for feeding my little hungry mind is  Ask a Mathematician / Ask a Physicist

Recently, a Mathematician took a stab at estimating the probability that god exists. I found it to be an interesting read, maybe you will too. There are a few theists replies in the comments section; I believe they may have felt threatened by the…
