We're just more likely to question on moral issues. I don't really consider myself to be all that intelligent. I did well in school, but mainly because I'm a bit of a nerd and introvert who studied when other kids were ......being…

Jesus promised the end of all wicked people. Odin promised the end of all frost giants. I don't see too many frost giants around.

However, even without a "god", religions can be just as restricting and just as silly. As with "magic", reincarnation, karma, etc etc

well, "magic spell" garbage aside, a lot of his personal philosophies I just find interesting. On things like lust, anger and self interest. being your own "God". I just feel that one should not let these things own them or turn…

I know what you mean Brad, I've met some people but even though I live near Philadelphia it's hard to find a compatible person. In my experience girls have more dealbreakers than guys.

About Me

Agnostic atheist. Let me clear up this first.....Let me make the 'agnostic' thing clear since it will lead to some confusion. I am agnostic atheist, using either term when it suits me. Meaning, I have no belief in any gods, but profess uncertainty as to whether or not something might exist. I am equally certain of every religion's deities being nothing more than the products of human imagination. However, the uncertainty with me, ONLY comes from a creation standpoint.

I do think the idea that something as complex as space and time, that we KNOW exist and are way beyond our ability to explain, just 'poofed' from a cosmic accident is about just as plausible as some consciousness being behind it (I'm speaking PRIOR to the 'Big Bang'.).IF there is some higher consciousness, we do not know anything about him/her/it/whatever and it may even be evil or indifferent natured. I'd lean towards an absentee creator. Either way, no proof, no God. I worship science and philosophy first. Though I use either agnostic or atheist, to describe myself at times, I only choose 'agnostic' as part of my neutral philosophies. Plus 'agnostic' or 'without knowledge' just sounds more like a humble wisdom seeker. lol. And I do think religions and mythologies, like pop culture and literature, are good for inspiration.

K, now that that is out of the way......Long brown hair. Somewhat bi/swinger minded, but heteroromantic. Can be socially anxious/awkward til I get to know you. Pacifist natured, as far as violence, though I do love fantasy 'violence' (metal, horror, action, sci fi, etc)

Love music of all types, but think radio/mainstream blows chunks in any genre. Especially love goth/industrial rock, metal, blues rock, classic rock, oldschool/alt-rap/horrorcore, and oldschool/alt-country/outlaw country.

I do not smoke, but I think women who smoke are extremely attractive. I hate labels and the idea of identifying too strongly with one, as it suffocates individuality, in my opinion. I think rightwing fundies and leftwing PC freaks are the same animal.

I'm not big on kids, but love animals. Have two dogs. I would rather have a few good friends or a small social circle than 50 acquaintances, since popularity is fake and superficial. Quality > quantity.

Very 'test-smart' and 'book-smart' according to my school records, but can be slow at social skills and other things. I like watching sci fi, horror and erotica (xxx). I love carnival/fairs, carnival rides, and beaches.

Sometime, before I die, I plan on learning the Spanish and German languages, aikido or some form of nonviolent grappling/submission martial arts, better culinary skills, better gun skills, electric keyboard, and photography.

I'm currently confused about my career path. Why lie? btw. I HATE dishonesty and games....and hypocrisy.

That's me. blah blah blah. lol.

How I Came to Atheism

Posted on July 13, 2011 at 9:00pm 6 Comments

OK, so I seen a few atheist friends post similar things on another site, so decided I would. Here's my story of how I came to atheism. I was not going to make a huge deal of stating this on my page, but since people use their religious beliefs as a tool of judgment for "non believers", I might as well be upfront about why I think the way I do. Theists like to accuse atheists constantly of lacking "humility" to find "God", but truth be told, humility led me to my current…

Godless 'Bibles'

Posted on June 4, 2009 at 2:30pm 2 Comments

OK, I haven't blogged here in a while. This is just something I find interesting, so here goes. I have two 'Bibles' in my backpack that are a bit 'different' from the Judeo-Christian one. Basically, both are more secular and deal less with 'God' than with philosophy and morality. One is Anton LaVey's 'Satanic Bible'. The other is Thomas Jefferson's 'Jefferson Bible'.

Let me give a fast crash course on my knowledge or take on both.

LaVey's book doesn't describe worshipping… Continue

Comic Books- Justice League 2079

Posted on March 8, 2009 at 11:00am 1 Comment

OK. This is a comic book geek topic. Something that's been in my head for a while, but since I'm no writer, it's not really doing anything. Not sure who else would think this is a good idea, but here goes:

I'm somewhat of a fairweather comic book fan. I might go to shops or even conventions once in a very blue moon, but do not keep up with what's going on in any series of books. I know what I like and the type of characters I like. Superman, as a character, bores me to tears. Boring… Continue

Body and Mind

OK. One of my 'new year's resolutions' was to get in better shape, physically, and mentally. I also figured this would get me out more and help change my mood to be more positive.

I joined a local gym where my brother is a member about 4-5 weeks ago and have been going every day except sunday (open too late and i usually work, plus i need one day off). i actually have a schedule worked out on which muscles i work out each day and cardio is daily. i see improvement, but i'm not… Continue

Reflections on Society

Posted on December 2, 2008 at 12:30pm 2 Comments

The news of the man who was trampled at Wal Mart surprisingly DIDN'T surprise me. I currently work retail and everyday I see the same mentality prevalent. People cutting each other off, pushing, shoving, just to get somewhere a second faster or maybe get a 'deal'. I thought we were better than monkeys now, but there are monkeys who still wouldn't trample an elder to death over a banana. lol

Or in the parking lot, I may be pushing in a line of say 7-8 carts, and a lady who looks all… Continue

Thanks Brad. I may not be the best person for the job, as I can be a bit cranky, but I'll attempt to keep my personal crankiness out of the group.

Hey Brad,

Could you change the setting on the Bi group so that more of the discussions are visible? Also, if you have one or more people as moderators, they can add helpful links to the info. section. I'll volunteer.

Nah, man. I'm never in a bad mood with online friends. I'm often in a bad mood, but I don't take it out on people -- especially ppl I've never met. Anything that I ever write that sounds like I'm trying to be funny, then I'm trying to be funny. I never give anyone shit.

Got your email. I'm fine here. 'Bout the same stupidity day in day out. Trying to do too much. Too many tasks, responsibilities, etc. What are you up to these days?

Snapper Carr wasn't a joke character, However, the comic book experience was quite different in the 50's and 60's when I was growing up than it is now. I still have a JLA with Snapper Carr in it lying around here somewhere.
