It's no problem - we're mostly all nerds here and can get bogged down trying to define terms. Also, there are a lot of people that get a kind of "ick" factor when using religious terms, so it may take time to get your point through when using those terms (although getting anti-religious people to accept religious terminology may, perhaps, be part of the point).
