"I was in the closet for many years, but about 5 years ago I just gave it up. I figure if someone in my life is somehow hurt or angered by the fact that I choose reason and rationality over supernatural chicanery, then so be it. The atheist movement…"

Empirical Truth Vs. Rational Thought in the Context of Religion

From the time one comes into being, for this argument one can use birth as a starting point, empirical evidence is presented in limitless quantities. From the fuzzy sights of the delivery room to the sounds of one’s own crying, sensory education has begun. These are the first things to register as human knowledge. A toddler will grab and put anything into its mouth, maybe because it is hungry or teething, but more likely because the young mind is trying to learn about its surroundings. The…See More

The Pleasure Principe

This is from my blog site bxcxsteele.blog.com enjoy, and see more at the site.

We live in a world rife with temptation. Natural human instinct is to do what feels good, but what happens when these hedonistic urges for instant gratification are forced through the morality wringer and into the public conscious? Where is the point of separation between one man’s pleasure and another man’s sin?At what point does the concession of social living impede the individual’s right…

Welcome, B.c.! Glad you could join us. :D It's great that you've already joined a bunch of groups.

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Atheists with Ink and Tattooed Atheists.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since the climate is changing so drastically.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.

On a personal note, I've developed an animated gif technique, sort of “pull quote marries slideshow”. Samples are scattered across various groups, but you can find them easily by going to my twitter account. Each tweet has a link (after the description and before the hashtags) to a visually rich example here at Atheist Nexus. If you like them, please follow me
