- I have been an atheist all of my 77 years and because of that I do not worry about all the things
that can not be proven at this time. I think that only people who have been indoctrinated into religion have these worries. It seems really simple for me to decide which of the two sides to believe. I really cringe when I hear what the religious people believe about how everything happened and other supposed facts of the bible. Common sense dictates that the scientific view is the easiest to swallow, at least for me.

My instincts tell me a Canadien Conservative means something vastly different than the American (Even I can't avoid the arrogant use of "American" to mean "U.S") version. Who are you rooting for to have the privilege of losing to the Red Wings this year? I know it seems greedy but Detroit and Michigan need the boost of the Stanley Cup more than most people. I look forward to a lifelong friendship and possibly even a visit to Alberta. Beautiful country where you live, but I hope to visit you there in the summer. Regards, Jack

- Hello! Look forward to meeting you next winter at the Villages. We have two rental properties here as well as our residence so send your friends to OurHome4Rent.com properties 907 and 822. They don't even have to be atheists if their money is green and their checks don't bounce. One of my neighbors and best friends here is an atheist, but he's also a libertarian. Except for our atheism we don't agree about anything but we enjoy banging away at each other to see if our positions withstand attack. Mine always do but he hasn't moved very far to the left despite my cogent arguments. Go figure. Is it too much to hope you are an atheist and a liberal? I'll settle for a progressive although it really pisses me off that the conservatives have turned liberal into a dirty word. My dear friend from grade school to date who is a big muck-a-muck at the AFL-CIO in D.C. is coming to town this weekend and I am STARVED for conversation with someone from my half of the political spectrum. Thx. for your email.

I've been through Veteran, AB at least on the highway while on the way to Saskatoon. Yeh, I agree, you are away from pretty much from everything out there. This a great site, one of the best I think.
