"My first anime shows were Dragonball Z and Tenchi Muyo (and possibly Cowboy Bebop). More like ones that were shown on Toonami back in the Mid-late 90's. Back then, I still didn't get too interested in anime until InuYasha…"
"I first watched Sailor Moon when I was...3-4ish. My sister, 9 or 10 at the time, got into it as well and started collecting lots of anime stuff as she grew older. It was through her that I got exposed to a lot of the shows I love now. Thank goodness…"
"Mmm, Voltron! I loved it so so much, which was a bit atypical for a girl at the time. I even had the die-cast lions that you could combine and the heads launched off the fists and oh, it was wonderful! Of course I look back on it now and the dubs…"
"my first anime was pokemon, and i still love the old episodes and love the first movie, the newer episodes do not phase me much, but after that my fiancee got me watching bleach and i love love love that show"
A devote Atheist, I still go to church everyday. It's no secret, really. I come in late, sit in one of the front rows, and draw pictures during the sermon (most of which are not church-appropriate).
You might call me an "closet" atheist, but it's difficult with my mother, who needs her religion.
I don't believe there needs to be a war waging between the religious and non-religious, not when we can both look the other way. However, if someone tries to convert me, that's when the claws come out.
As a quiet and indecisive person, this is the one thing that I truly believe.

Greetings, éminence grise! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.
I went to a school that insisted on us attending daily prayers. I caught up on a lot of homework in those otherwise wasted minutes. The school charter called for us to be brought up "in godliness and good learning." Apparently the pass mark was 50% because I wasn't expelled for only managing one out of two of those things.
well I wouldn't even say Miyazaki is anime. He is an animator, but his films aren't of the same style as most mainstream anime. He would fall under foreign film/ animation. You know what i like if you read the discussions on the group lol. I never shut up about it hehe :P Hope to see you around the A/N!
There are many people here that will say looking the other way is hard when the other side is coming after you. But, there are others that will agree with you. Personally, I don't look for confrontation but, I will not shy away from a fight. By fight I mean discussion.
