Welcome, Angela.  I like your comment, "to accept what I always believed."  It was much like that for me, too.  It never made sense so I spent much of my life trying to prove there was a god and thus proved there wasn't.  I live in the south, too, so know what you are up against in Alabama.  I look forward to your comments.

Yeah, the group doesn't have a lot going on right now besides the monthly meetings, but if you have any ideas for a meetup, feel free suggest them.

Ooh, I love that frog of yours!

Here's one of my favourites.

It is the red-eyed tree frog of Melanesia---worshipped as a god by certain natives, and whose status as an icon seems more agreeable and friendly than the tortured Jesus of the christians.
