"I agree with Gloria Steinem. I also remember an old LIttle Lulu cartoon where her mother told her "god helps those who help themselves." She immediately went into the kitchen and got herself a cookie out of the cookie jar."

"Sounds about right, Idaho.  That way, something actually gets accomplished, yet the credit can still go to the intangible deity!  What a racket!"

"David Bohm, Albert Einstein, et al. would often use the word "God," but of course their conception of God probably wouldn't tally with the average Christian's conception of God. In the Tao of Physics, the "Brahman" of…"

"Do Your Best And God Will Do The Rest. That's an improvement on a line I heard decades ago. Work as if everything depends on you; pray as if everything depends on God. I replied "If I pray that hard, why work?" "

About Me:
Zomberina Contagion was born into the world of hungry companies, disillusioned people, and unspoken ideas in 2006. After wandering aimlessly around in chat rooms and numerous social media outlets, in search of brains to eat and absorb useful knowledge from, she finally planted her first headstone on a small website called Ex-Christian.net. Since that fateful day two years ago, she has written many small essays about atheism, tragedies in the world, and the effects of religious belief in everyday world events. She has also given her general opinion on her favorite horror movies.
She is currently writing two novels. One that will be released in the late Summer of 2014 is entitled Sainted. A work of historical fiction set in 14th century Serbia that follows a pious prince whose decisions about his eternal soul end up changing the entire face of his country for centuries to follow. In time for Easter 2014, her short work called Christ’s Rebellion will be released as an e-book. This novel is part of the Nanowrimo.org project, and will follow the struggles Judas Iscariot faced when realizing Jesus had struck a deal with Lucifer in order to push Christianity out of the shadow of the ruling Pharisees’ dominion over religious interpretation.
She lives in the United States, where she blogs at http://rottingthoughts.wordpress.com, as well as:

You can also view some of her art works at http://ashcraftgirl.deviantart.com.

Do Your Best And God Will Do The Rest

Quotation-Leo-Tolstoy-sacrifice-vanity-Meetville-Quotes-138006

For many, many years, I have always found an unending fount of devilish giggles whenever I read sappy church signs. You know, the ones that are thought up by the honorary witty member of the church congregation that plays on puns, abuses homophones, and loves to dabble in sappy poetry attempts. What better way to market a deity than…

Atheist Women: Why Are They More In The Boardrooms Than Heard In The Streets?

Posted on September 9, 2014 at 10:56am 10 Comments

index Everywhere I scroll, I find many atheist and secular minded individuals with my same mindset. No God. No religion. Acceptance for all. On the television, it is always the same faces of Dawkins, Harris, Silverman, and occasionally Cupp. I run into the same issues on blog sites like Patheos, Freethought, Secular Coalition, and American Atheists. Same male faces and the dash of a female…

Ferguson: A Larger Dialog

Ferguson, MO.

Okay, please don't roll your eyes and think "Here we ago again. Another blog about police brutality, police states in America, and racist bashing." I'm not going to be analyzing the events of Ferguson, per say. I am writing about a larger picture here. No speeches about how…

A Few Thoughts On The Whole "What If You Go To Hell?" Scenario

Posted on August 19, 2014 at 1:47pm 11 Comments

We have all had that conversation with friends, family, and even in our own minds have pondered the validity of the "What if you go to Hell?" scenario.

Images of devils, demons, exposed human flesh to flame, faces twisted in torturous poses, evil looking imps in observant reveries of delight. The overall themes being rejection, exile, physically unbearable pain, retribution, and guilt. Through many belief systems, Hell is a common thread that most agree upon.…
