About Me
I'm an atheist, feminist, masculist (the sensible, progressive kind) Scouser: a wonderful mix which is guaranteed to annoy at least one person in any given situation.

I've been involved in the Oxford Secular Society since its foundation in 2005 to the present in various roles including a glorious (I like to think so) and fun presidential term. I'm now involved in something vastly more exciting - and regrettably vastly more secretive - which I will have to keep under my hat until 19th February.

When I could fit it in around running Sec Soc, I studied Modern History, and still find it amazing that you can remain religious even after studying the vast catalogue of evils committed by faiths over the centuries. Thanks to my thesis, I also know far too much about leprosy than is generally acceptable in mixed company.

Hi Alex! I'm the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.

I wonder if you could let your members know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.

Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.

Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated.
