Greetings, Alessandro! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Well, I'm indonesian atheist. Its still somewhat easier and safer to deal with christian country like yours rather than moslem dominated country like mine. :)

It is admirable for you being out there and being yourself, wanting to make a difference. lol Saint Alessandro is cool, love it! I think there are more Filipino atheists and agnostics, they are just not that open because it is just not tolerated there. Even I have difficulty telling my parents, though siblings and friends know, because I know them and I still have no balls on all of the hassles that I anticipate to come with it. I just can see my mom worrying about me going to hell, oh I just feel like "why bother" sometimes.

By the way, I am suggesting you this because I AM originally from the Philippines, lol. You can *TRY* to give it a hand and change, but let's get real there... money talks. I wish it were different there too, it really depresses me. Have you ever come out as an Atheist there?

Welcome to the Nexus!
I've seen a few people from the Philippines recently :)
Good stuff.
I, too, live in a Jesus nation.
Maybe the future will turn out well for the both of us.

Welcome to A/N! You don't have to be stuck there forever. Once you are done with school, you can go abroad.
