Greetings, Aleksandra! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.
The songs you have here invoke rising energy and increase neural activities in me. I have studied NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and I believe #1 and #2 can be used as a trigger/anchor for deep thoughts. :-) Since you are a psychology student, have you done any research or come across any research paper or project on the topic of psychological states and music?
People often don't want to accept the fact that death is a permanent irreversible cessation of life. Often they go through several stages before accepting it. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross explains those stages in her book. Religion, in my view, was invented by people who are in denial.
Hi Aleks! I'm Kris - I host the Aussie/Kiwi group here on Nexus. I'm also the media and communications consultant for the forthcoming "Rise of Atheism" Global Atheist Convention to be held in Melbourne in March 2010. The Convention is being organized jointly by Atheist Alliance International and the Atheist Foundation of Australia.
I wonder if you could let your members know that tickets for the convention are now available online at the Convention website. We are expecting nearly 3,000 delegates, so this convention is going to be huge.
Confirmed speakers include: Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling, PZ Myers, Dan Barker, Peter Singer, Taslima Nasrin and many more.
Anything you can do to help us get the word out would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! I'd like to also invite you to join my group Pat Condell. His views are much like yours/mine and this groups as he doesn't pussy foot around the subject of religion with his intelligent, to the point rants. Come and visit or join!
A group for those who actively rebel against religious bullshit. Religions harm our society, poison our mind and threaten our mental health. This is an Anti-Religions-Group! No discrimination against a certain group of imbeciles, but all of themSee More
"Church/state separation in Germany? What about church tax, state-imposed and religion classes in public schools, health insurance and health costs for clergy members in large proportions covered by general tax money - to only name a few things."
The name of the group pretty much gives it away, I guess. European Atheists unite (yet again)! ;-)There's hundreds of thousands of us in Europe... where are all the others? Join in, let's discuss, connect and maybe we'll start another revolution.See More
