Adrian K. replied to Dr. Terence Meaden's discussion ORIGIN OF ATHEIST PRIDE in the group ORIGINS: UNIVERSE, LIFE, HUMANKIND, AND DARWIN
"I'm just glad I don't let some archaic rigid superstition control my life.  I only wish we had a more creative symbol of atheism other than the cropped atom which religious zealots love to make fun of."

Adrian K. replied to david stossel's discussion The origin of religion in the group ORIGINS: UNIVERSE, LIFE, HUMANKIND, AND DARWIN
"Religion is essentially no different from mythology.  Judaism-Christianity absorbed many elements from mythologies in Egypt, Greece, Persia and adapted it to suit their purpose.  When people stop taking Judaism, Christianity and Islam…"

Adrian K. replied to Ruth Anthony-Gardner's discussion Rick Perry: Evolution is "a theory that's out there" in the group ORIGINS: UNIVERSE, LIFE, HUMANKIND, AND DARWIN
"I love it when religious people say evolution is only a theory with gaps in it as if their religion is any more credible. Evolution has solid, irrefutable evidence behind it with the evidence only building with time filling up those gaps.…"

Welcome, Adrian! Glad you could join us. :D

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since New York's climate is changing. You might want to watch the video The Sky is Pink in Eco-Logical under the discussion Fracking releases methane, since your water supply is in danger.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.
