"Welcome, AM.  I live in the bible belt of the deep south so know what you mean about being overrun with theists.  A/N is a great place to communicate with other non-theists and deal with reality for a little while."

Profile Information

About Me
I'm a thirty-something bisexual agnostic-atheist in the middle of a very religious community. I am happily in a long-term relationship, and I work as a research scientist in psychology and human factors. I enjoy reading, writing, and talking with other non-theists. Politically, I'm socially liberal, fiscally moderate/central, and I care a great deal about our environment and climate change. I'm a happy, positive, friendly person, though I am something of an introvert (I do enjoy karaoke, once I have a drink or two). I'm not shy, and I am looking for other non-theist friends. It gets lonely sometimes here in very conservative, very religious Idaho. It would be nice, I think, to have a group of friends who are also not religious.

Welcome, A. M.! Glad you could join us. :D

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Eco-Logical, Climate Concerns, Atheists who love Science!, Psychology, Geek & Nerd Haven, Nexus Book Club, Atheist Writers, Refugees from the Bible Belt.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.

On a personal note, I've developed an animated gif technique, sort of “pull quote marries slideshow”. Samples are scattered across various groups, but you can find them easily by going to my twitter account. Each tweet has a link (after the description and before the hashtags) to a visually rich example here at Atheist Nexus. If you like them, please follow me
