Godless Chihuahuas are My Best Friends

Profile Information

About Me
I am 37 years old and married to a wonderful & caring red-headed Goddess...Who's power to overcome adversity while remaining thoughtful and caring defines why I look to her as my divine motivation to push on in life! 5 years after watching my wife overcome severe traumatic brain injuries and countless broken bones that she suffered in a near fatal automobile accident, I suffered a spinal cord injury and my wife has been by my side to help keep me going.
I spend most my days in front of a computer or reading a book. I enjoy the nasty world of politics especially during election season.
I just built my first computer...It was fun and not as hard as I thought it would be.
I have 3 friends that spend everyday with me...3 Chihuahuas, 2 males and 1 female...Reina, the female, is the boss in the house. She is quite energetic and well behaved. The two males, Fidel and his son Pablo are 110% male...Pablo is the baby of Fidel & Reina. Pablo is also the "tattle-tell" and Fidel is the criminal. Fidel likes to break into things and steal stuff, mostly food but on occasion he will steal socks and shoes and just about anything he can carry. Together they are my best friends and my wife and I only kids. For some reason my mind has never been wired for the belief in god(s). Of course, when I was a small child I thought there was a Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and a god...However, around 7yrs old or so I started to figure out Santa was not real, then the rest of my pantheon of childhood deities began to fall one by one...I was then left thinking, all this talk about god & worshiping at church, coming from adults was just something people do for fun...I was so right, but oh so wrong! I remember being shocked coming to the realization people, ADULTS, kill each other over who's "Adult Santa" was better or real? And 30 years later I am still shocked at the fact I am in the minority thinking this way! Oh well, I could not be happier so I am either right or god actually does make mistakes!
I must admit, my quest to find reason within religions has spawned a huge interest in the study or past time reading about religions, especially the ancient ones! At least many of the ancient religions were based more upon what people were actually seeing & observing in the sky! Now a days religion is complete fantasy! I hate to use the word "fantasy" to describe today's religions, because they are more like nightmares than fantasy!

Yea, I can actually see the fireworks through the trees some nights. We watched them from the roof on the fourth. Kinda neat really. It's not the perfect view, but it's still neat. eMet, that's perfect, I love it! It's nice to have eMet you too AJ.
