Y U Woked Me Up?

Poor Jerry always looks kinda grumpy...he's 13 or 14 and feeling his age a bit.

He started getting very fussy about his cat food, so I fed him nothing but Gerber's chicken and turkey for a couple of weeks...slightly heated in the microwave (12 seconds only), with 1/2 tsp of butter stirred in.  He loves butter and cheese and other "people food."  then he started eating the cat food that I put out for Pumpkin again.   He really is looking much better.

He alternates between being stand-offish and craving attention, and tends to sleep a lot.

Pumpkin wants to be friends with him, walks up to him making little trilling sounds., and tries to rub faces.  Jerry growls, snarls, and runs away.  It's going to take time; poor Jer was abandoned five years ago at a cattery where most of them were in one big room with perches and beds, but "private suites" were for the high-paying guests only. And I think the other cats bullied him; I suspect he was an "only cat" before he was left there, and needs to learn that he's safe here.

He likes to sit in a window and bird-watch in the mornings.

He's SO soft!  And loves to give head-bonks.  He's terribly thin, but not quite as bony as he was when he first arrived here in July.  He's very fussy about his food, so I'm going to try him on baby food (meat only), and see if he'll eat more.  If that doesn't please him, I guess we'll have to go to the vet to see if there's a physical problem.  OH, the $$$$!
