PumaHeatingPad2

Then there's that moment when your living heating pad realizes just how defenseless your injuries have rendered you, meaning he can go ahead and gnaw your leg off anyway.

Yes, his fangs do always show like that. And yes, he does look like a vampire kitteh. Actually, given how much blood he tends to draw, maybe he really is a vampire kitteh. Come feeding time he's not so good at retracting the claws when swiping at my hands for attention. And come treat time he's extremely good at missing the treat and chomping down on me instead. Have learned to feed him like you do a horse: Treat in the middle of my very flat palm.

Do his fangs always show like that? He looks sort of like Vampire Kitteh.

... Actually, another clue I just thought of: You know how lions, tigers, and other wildcats, when they roar at another cat, they'll kind of cock their heads as if they're roaring out of the side of their mouth? That's how Puma does it. I've never known a housecat to do that.

Would be kind of cool if he really did turn out to have a little Ocelot in him, eh?

Not quite, but he is big for a cat - even the vets commented on that when I got him; big cat, HUGE head. Then I heard his little bobcat roar. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he had a little in him. AZ is home to a number of wildcats. I believe it's Ocelots that can breed with housecats. Might have to look that up.

Did you say he's the size of a Bobcat?
