May Sarton wrote a book The Fur Person - we do see a kind of person before us, in a pet.  That person is hard to communicate, though.

How?  [wry grin!] The best I can!

So how can you convey that true essence of cat?

Morris isn't much of a paper shredder.  He's really rather a mellow sort.  The shredder business goes more to Sadie and Spooky.

Beautiful cat.

Maybe he's waiting for more paper to come out that he can shred.

Morris sez, "Thank you, thank you!  I know, I know!"

Morris looks so regal, King of Kings! Master of all he surveys!

Maybe not ... but *I* know who he is ... and as to communicating who Morris is, I can at least try.
Comment by Luara on July 12, 2014 at 7:35pm

but you can't communicate his essence in a photograph.  Others see ... a cat.

He's my good buddy, Dennis ... and just plain wonderful company and a great cat.
