Loren, his story intrigues me because of his being part of the religious system that killed him and part of the visionaries who could see into himself and into the stars. Bruno's imagination and heretical religious sensibilities, began at this critical time when science and religion began their bitter separation. A men well ahead of his time. He paid a terrible price for thinking. Don't we all!

I'm especially glad you included Bruno in this collection.  His contribution, along with that of Copernicus, Kepler and others added to that of Galileo and his quest to understand the motion of the planets.

To me, that time is THE beginning of modern-day science.
