I don't think this cartoon is helpful since it advances the false premise that we have not observed evolution directly. We have observed it repeatedly in viruses and bacteria and even in larger species such as lizards on a Croatian island. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/04/080421-lizard-evolu...  Although the creationist in the comic is using a logical fallacy I think it more effective to just show them the evidence that they are completely wrong.

Colin, are you saying the theists do NOT ignore evidence? Where do you get from this cartoon that it denies evidence of god? It is simply making fun of the theist method of denying the obvious. "If no one (that I choose to believe) saw it, then it didn't happen." It has absolutely nothing to do with denying evidence of god. But, as you have shown, theists can manage to believe anything they choose. Thank you for confirming that.

Indeed...This is very true. Richard Dawkins interviews a creationist in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFjoEgYOgRo
She just repeats the same things over and again like a smug parrot.

The fact that so many people cannot believe in evolution could be proof that it's not working! LMAO

I think this is pure brilliance! it's good enough to put people behind bars, 'without a shadow of a doubt', but use it to refute GOD, oh no!?! I just don't get it? and they accuse us of looking the other way and ignoring evidence!!

I don't know why but I hate that god thing in people. I have a similar lack of patients with dogs (a very loud animal) when they make their uncalled for racket. They are taking my silence from me! And the god people, like the dogs, would like to take a different kind of silence from me.
Shut up to both dogs and god people!
