Comment by Joan Denoo on May 8, 2012 at 10:26pm Sentient, by all means, yes! I would love to put Lucifer back in my garden. Thanks you for the offer . When I brought them in to my garden I read they were "tender" perennial in zone 5. If my zone is changing to 6, they should do fine. We had frost night before last, but only to about 29 degrees.
Comment by Sentient Biped on May 8, 2012 at 9:30pm Joan, if you want some corms this fall I'll be happy to dig some for you. It's hardy in my climate zone and spreads like crazy.
Comment by Joan Denoo on May 8, 2012 at 8:21pm Sentient, mine is "Lucifer" as well. Isn't it a wonderful plant. It really is too cold for it here, and I don't see it coming up this year. Hope it returns. A little Lucifer in one's life adds to the adventure.
Comment by Sentient Biped on May 8, 2012 at 8:42am Hummingbirds love our crocosmia! I have a red variety called "Lucifer". One of my coworkers wanted a start, which I gave her. She didn't like the name LOL.
