On 14-15/07/09, the company I work for participated in moving an oil rig onto a Canadian National Historic site at Turner Valley, Alberta, so that they could plug the original leaking gas well hole, that was first drilled in 1914. All of the drilling rig components had to be unloaded off site, then loaded on a bedtruck, and hauled backward onto the lease. The photos of the original rig on that site are thanks to Alberta's Glenbow Museum's photo archives.
