 Mr. Miller, I was just teasing you and misspelling a word(her, here). It's just that, when I rattled off marriage, I was overwhelmed by pain.

 Yes Loren, you are so right. Many other factors come into play her. Love, hate, environment(my personnel favorite) fear, mental illness(high on my list)stupidity, brilliance, genes, a mentor(bet u like that one) getting married,...wait, OK I'M WRONG ! Pain,.. is essential !

I'm not certain I agree with this.  Change happens because a person is inspired to change, because some impetus, not necessarily painful, creates a catalyst which gives rise to that change.

This quote may be true in some cases, but by no means all cases.
