- Help! Atheist Nexus is doing weird
things. How to clear your browser cache.
Your browser keeps a temporary repository of frequently used web
page components in an area called the "cache". Sometimes, your
cache can accumulate multiple copies of things and this causes all
manner of browser weirdness. If you notice erratic browser behavior
(skewed display, buttons not working, etc.) manually clear your
cache and restart your browser. For more info, see this link.

video. At the bottom of this info you will see a box titled "Embed"

- What kind of post formatting is
supported on Atheist Nexus?
Atheist Nexus in general supports most standard HTML formatting. It
does not support BBcode that is common to many other sites. Care
should be exercised in the use of special or reserved keyboard
characters such as "<", "/" or ">" - they may not always
appear as you expect. For tricks on the use of special characters,
see this link. In general, if you are unsure if your formatting
will work, take it for a test drive in The
Sandbox group first, where you can make as big a mess as you
like and no one will laugh at you.
Top of Page
- Why are groups so
special
Groups are member-run sections of Atheist Nexus that discuss issues
pertaining to that group"s interests. There are groups for everyone
and everything, so if you can not find what you are looking for in
the search, then you can make your own. To search the groups you
need to click on the "Groups" link at the
top of each page, then enter your keyword into the search box. (Be
sure to try several variations of what you are looking for.) To
create a group, click the "Create A Group" link in the upper right
of the page next to a green plus sign. You will be directed to the
creation page where you will fill in the name, description,
website, and location as well as uploading a picture for the group.
Please note: once you select the privacy setting for your
group, it cannot be changed. After this step, you will find a
box under the picture and description where you can add more detail
about the group as well as widgets, pictures or videos. The group
creator can invite members and even elevate chosen members to be
administrators. Group admins have special powers over the group, so
delegate wisely. Read the site "Rules and Guidelines" for more info, and to avoid
having your group deleted.
