The Swedish artist Lars Vilks was giving a lecture on ‘Free Speech’ at Uppsala University. He introduced a film by an Iranian artist. A group of Islamists in the audience decided to disrupt the screening and dictate what the rest of the audience could and could not watch. They were successful. Later bottles of gasoline were thrown through the windows of Vilks’ home.
