Share 'Kepler mission and the Drake equation'

The number of suspected planets orbiting other stars is climbing faster each passing year. Has anyone heard of any new estimates for the frequency of planet formation, particularly earthlike worlds; and if so, has anyone heard of any new musings with the Drake equation using these numbers?   I know this is not a hard-science question, but a guy has to dream a bit!  : )
