I saw David Silverman on Fox yesterday discussing inclusion of the iron beam cross from the WTC ruins.  I thought while watching that if the 911 Memorial Committee is claiming that the beam is not a religious symbol, then why not set the beam in a position that does not mimic the most famous of Christian symbols; e.g. stand the bean as an 'X'.   It will be interesting to hear the next argument.
