I am looking for books like Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion. I was really impressed with them although they did have religious themes.

I don't talk to too many people, and then there are much less people I talk to about Sci-FI. So, the following observation may be common knowledge, I don't know.

I am watching the movie sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey, 2010.

I was watching the scene where Dr. Floyd and his colleague are on a park bench in front of the white house. There is an elderly gentleman at the other end of the bench feeding the pigeons. Can you guess who that is?
