I'm a little like that. At parties I basically have "on" and "off" nights. I like work with people that involves helping people, but hate customer service or sales jobs. I've been painfully shy when I felt threatened, a little shy when unsure of things, and not very shy in places I felt comfortable. I think I've been the life of the party sometimes but sometimes small talk is so amazingly awkward. All in all I'm still basically introspective.

The quickie test put me at ISFP, but in almost all of them, it was hard to decide. I feel split right down the middle. x.x

Nerdlass have you taken the Myers-Briggs personality test? That is how I know where I am on the scale.

I need some help, y'all. I'm actually not sure where I fall on the grid of ...vertism. o.O

I guess what I'd term myself as is a situational introvert. Large gatherings, especially where I don't know many people, I turn into such a wallflower... But if I know people or if I have a job to do (like teaching), I can get pretty extroverted.

I recently went to a social event that had a good 100+ people. Despite knowing a good 15-20 of these people, I still managed to feel like an outcast and generally not have a good time at all. Needless to say, I won't be going back to that event, when it crops up again. However, when I posted about it to FB, one of my friends was shocked. He said I was the life of the party whenever we've hung out... but we tend to hang out in small groups and hello, they know me!

So, where do you guys think that puts me? I feel like a grey or at least striped version of both introvert and extrovert.
