Welcome to It Gets Better

Bullying and teen suicide are nothing new, but in recent years we have become increasingly aware of the damage bullying does ― to both children and adults alike ― with what seems to be a sudden spike in teen suicides related to being bulled.

The death of a child, particularly at his or her own hands, is never acceptable. It is a blight on human society that schools do not do more to prevent this, that parents can raise their children to be mean and spiteful to others, and that bullied kids don't have a support system on which they can rely when they are faced with feelings of despair and isolation.

The content of this group will undoubtedly be difficult to deal with. It is painful to see children ostracized from their peers, and made to feel as if they don't matter or don't belong. Of course, bullying is not confined to schools, either. Many adults experience bullying at home or in the workplace as well. All these issues will be explored in this group.

Petition to change the group name to a bully-free-Everywhere.

Some of us don't live in the U.S (I'm sure it's lovely)

I came from a small town. Our homecoming king and queen married at 18 and are still married, AFAIK. We also produced a lot of dental hygienists, for some reason. Maybe because the local community college had a good dental school.

Hey Big Blue Frog! Yeah that experience sounds terrible. You would think after all this time there would be no cliques -- but I guess they didn't get wiser with age - they stayed the same. Some people never change it seems. Good thing you won't be going back.

I went to my tenth HS reunion, and hated it. All the same cliques sat together, to the point where all of the popular people tried to sit at the same table and they ended up with barely room to eat. They hired some cut-rate comedian who told dirty jokes to a bunch of religious folks. That didn't go over well. When he started waving around a dildo, I think they realized their mistake.

I sat at the freaks & geeks table.

I'll never go to another one again.

I have never been to a reunion -- don't want to look back.

Marcella has TALENT, plain and simple, and her video is professional in all aspects.  I wonder if she produced it and if not, who did!

I'm thinking I won't go.  It would be nice to see certain people only if they are now in wheelchairs, with leg ulcerations, abusive spouses cursing them for being incontinent, and skin diseases.  Nicer, if I met someone and found out that they had a life journey similar in any way to mine, but I would be more likely to see flocks of flying pigs circling in the sky.  Worse, a few might be driving mercedes and have Callista-style trophy wifes on their arm.  Or are dead.  Which would be fine.

On that video, Marcella has a nice voice.  I like her.
