Water fowl enjoy a mixed birdseed.  While not a complete diet, it is far better than junk food.  Bread would not hurt if one person was feeding it, but multiply that by everyone who comes into a park for example.  Just goes to show you that bread is not a good food for us either.  Basically empty calories.

The Summer Tanager is gorgeous.  It would be even more outstanding if it was solid red.
