I just love Cardinals. I hear their birdsong during the dawn chorus and see them quite often - especially while hiking. They are such beautiful birds.

That cardinal is beautiful.  Where I grew up in Illinois, cardinals overwintered in our yard.  I've never seen one here in western Washington and western Oregon.

Statler and Waldorf (taken 5 min ago)

Sometimes they chatter for hours.  They are within view of the outdoor bird feeders, but there is no evidence that they see through the window.

This is a cool idea for a group.

I specialize in Ornithology. My mom always had parakeets as pets when I was little and that it what started my passion for birds. You can learn much from observing wildlife and how they interact with each other. I love to observe birds and recognize them by their bird song.
