Patricia, I can't stand the heat either, and neither can my delivery-driver hubby.  We are at the very top middle of Illinois and have 4 distinct seasons, and I've always enjoyed that.  It is, however, changing lately which is nerve-wracking.

I can't stand heat, so fall/winter is just fine as long as it doesn't go too  far below freezing. We're good up to about -20°C, but after that we go out for groceries & that's about it. Mind you, with global warming, our winters aren't nearly so long, or severe, which is really not good in the long run.

You don't mind the winters, Patricia?

How wonderful Patricia! To see the Migration event! A beautiful site indeed!

Yes Joan, we see the birds arriving in spring, & heading south starting now. Never get tired of seeing the formations, & yes living here is pretty nice. We have everything from mountains to forests to lakes/rivers/wildlife, & even though a small city, we aren't crowded so still have breathing room.

Patricia, what a beautiful place to live, Williams Lake BC. Are you on the migratory path?
