Atheist Media Watch

Mission Statement

(ver 1.1)

This is a group for posting links to news, stories, surveys, polls and opinion pieces on the web, as a Clearing House/News Aggregate; For the purpose of making sure our voices are heard by commenting or participating in media sites that allow for feedback.

Also see: pharyngulate

Guidelines

  • Use the discussion forum for posting target articles
  • Target articles must have comment sections.
  • Try to keep thread-titles simple (If possible)
  • Post the link to the story w/ brief synopsis.
  • One target per thread
  • Please; keep "on-target/on-topic" i.e. - don't tell us how pissed off you are -> tell them
Additionally helpful:
  • Post a link to sign in or sign up options (for comments) and/or comment restrictions.
  • Identify what your user-name is (if it isn't obvious) in the comments section of the article/opinion piece.

Please use the discussion forum rather than the comment wall for target articles.

The comment wall is a good place to discuss general tactics and strategies for the group. As well as noting any controversies or stories that have yet to hit any news/opinion sites.

If you have a twitter acct. and want it added, send me a message with the link.

All target threads in this group are shared on Twitter and on other Atheist Activist sites and networks.

We have target #1 in the crosshairs. I have logins already to many news sites, I've been haunting comments sections for years...

The idea isn't to change other commenters minds, it's to give readers something to think about. I'm going to see if I can get PZ Myers to send his finds our way as well...

Yo, Richard.  Now ... let's see if we can get the [censored] media to take some notice, eh?
