Understanding the Great Transition. First visit
Lots of great information, think tank style analysis, and hopeful scenarios.

On the way to work this morning I was thinking about how can we get this message out to as many fertile minds as possible? Who are the largest group of forward thinkers and most active about their beliefs, so active that they formed a worldwide phenomenon of conventions organized by those average folks. Conventions that brought the top minds, talents and pioneers in the field on which these conventions focused.

Star Trek Fans, yes that's right Star Trekkers, I'm a big fan myself. Star Trek has the most active fan base of any modern mythos, most dream that life could be as simple as transporters and replicators, and sustainable living.

The Transition is upon us and it's up to us as individuals to make it happen, it's time for each one of us to realize as individuals we have unlimited power to dream and make those dreams happen. We are problem solvers and solution finders and loving compassionate caring people, let's make this transition happen.

There are two models of the future sustainability that we can look at and get inspiration from, the first is what I already mentioned Star Trek. The second is actually here now and has been used for over 15 years already, and that's the Free Software Foundation model of GNU software development. We need look no further then the GNU concept of how people from around the world come together and write great software for the rest of us to use in freedom. It's powerful it works and it's scalable, most importantly is shows that global chaos has a way of forming a harmony that results in productive and useful things. The world will not fall into ruin if we transition to a Planetary system where the wealth of the people is in there compassion to live well, and give others the same wellness.

Replicators and transporters are not here yet, but they are right around the corner. By 2025 computers with have superseded the human brain's processing capacity, and the supercomputers of today will fit on your desktop and cost nothing. Telecommunications will happen through quantum entanglement, computer memory will be stored in the DNA of engineered bacteria in our skin, gigaquads of self replicating storage units.

Anyway first things first, food clothing and shelter for everyone, now.

I completely agree with the two Zeitgeist movies. I've seen both at least 10 times or more and I still can't get enough. I would love to see the Venus Project take effect in my lifetime just to see the current Corporatocracy fall to its knees and start living the way we should have to begin with.

The Zeitgeist Movement
More then a for me it's a movement.

I've been thinking really hard on this, and it can be done, the re-engineering of our society.

The doors are busting wide open, in my area government services are being cut, big car dealerships are going out of business, on my block alone 6 homes are up for sale. Food pantries are bare, services for homeless are strapped, 11 libraries in Philadelphia are slated to close.

We need to organize taking over the government services that have been something people relied on for to long. As average people start showing that they can to a better job then the government without tax money then people will maybe step up and say "We can do this" and live well.

There are resources everywhere, we just need to come together.

The only way for the Great Transition to happen is first with individuals then families, neighborhoods, towns, hamlets, boroughs, cities, metro-areas, states, regions, nations, continents.
