Young Atheists

A group for young atheists, any ages from 0-20 welcome! People love to underestimate young people, especially minors who can't vote, but we are a powerful group...we are not alone.

Welcome young atheists! This group is geared towards students, be they in college, high school, middle school, or elementary school, all are welcome, including those who are still young but not in school.

We're a powerful group that is often ignored or treated as if we are worthless. Older folks love to tell us that we aren't responsible, that we aren't intelligent, that we aren't as important. WE ARE. We can help strengthen atheism and weaken the religious establishments.

This group however is geared not towards angry rebellion ;) but discussion between young atheists. We can reach out to the very young group (middle school/elementary) while strengthening ourselves.

Yes, actually I'm not in within the age limit anymore, soon I'll turn 22 and I don't know if I'll have to leave the group, lol.

I was never really active after all, but it is still nice to know there are other young freethinkers to whom I can relate to.

Hi Tina,
I'm based in Ireland so I'm not too sure about activities during term in SC for your daughter. However I've been to Camp Quest Ohio and I can recommend Camp Quest SC. http://campquestsc.org/ It's being run by a wonderful woman Amy and should be a great camp. Hope that helps.

Tina: Speaking as a person who left the education field for something more competitive, but far less moronically influenced, your kid has an uphill battle. To be sure there are smart kids at her school or her age, where you live, but they're be rare, and the only one in a really good position to find them will be her herself.

Wow religious intolerance messed up my entire social dynamic and now I go to college in the church CAPITAL of California (Turlock). Sometimes I just want to scream in their faces. I used to just chuckle quietly at belief...but it's become apparent to me that this shit is really dangerous. What to do?!

Trolls are to the internet what religion is to the world.
