Young Atheists

A group for young atheists, any ages from 0-20 welcome! People love to underestimate young people, especially minors who can't vote, but we are a powerful group...we are not alone.

Welcome young atheists! This group is geared towards students, be they in college, high school, middle school, or elementary school, all are welcome, including those who are still young but not in school.

We're a powerful group that is often ignored or treated as if we are worthless. Older folks love to tell us that we aren't responsible, that we aren't intelligent, that we aren't as important. WE ARE. We can help strengthen atheism and weaken the religious establishments.

This group however is geared not towards angry rebellion ;) but discussion between young atheists. We can reach out to the very young group (middle school/elementary) while strengthening ourselves.

If you haven’t yet noticed, I’ve been stuck arguing with this fellow Chris over a variety of topics for the past few days. I’ll dive right in: I’m writing this post as a response to Chris’s last argument. We’ll see what happens. To begin with the relevant information:

“Just saying that something is human *isn’t enough*. Hitler was human, but (for obvious reasons) he didn’t deserve to live like other humans. “

Here, you show how you value humans – to you, humans do NOT have a inherent value, yet a value that is placed, assigned.  You claim that Hitler didn’t deserve to live like other humans.  Well, who gets to decide this?  You? Me? Read More
