Thanks, MJ! One of those links led me to Richard Dawkin's "We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones," quote from Unweaving the Rainbow. I love that part, and it's perfect for a wedding - highlights the beauty of life without unnecessary cheesiness. Thanks a lot!

ok. I did read a few... and they may not be waht you are looking for.
I do agree with some thoughts presented:

write your own vows, have it in the location of your choosing - there's a whole world to choose from, finances limiting - and have an official who is "allowed" to perform marriages so your union will be legally recognized - that's mostly for insurance, retirement, and other benefits purposes anyway.
