Felaine is rereading one of Marion Zimmer Bradley's "Darkover" novels. I seem to do this almost every year when the weather gets hot...the stories can sometimes be depressing, but in July and August I like reading about a planet where "summer" is the season when it "only" snows at night.

Wildlife: Rabbithorns (antlered rabbits), and "Banshee Birds" (impossibly large flightless, sightless predatory birds. Sort of like Rick Warren.)
