OK, I give up, Dallas; you wrote, "This is the only version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" I like listening to. For very obvious reasons."

Care to take the time to help me understand your reasons?

                                          Flying Fish

Always reminds me of the poem by Rudyard Kipling, 'Mandalay'

On the road to Mandalay,
    Where the flyin'-fishes play,
An' the dawn comes up like thunder outer China 'crost the Bay!

Tony and Dallas - those are great. Thank you for the Wizard of Oz music. Has anyone here seen the new Wizard of Oz movie?

Dallas, I am on the opposite end of the spectrum as far as the rainbow song. I do know what you mean, some songs just make a thud for me.
The Elephant Blog delights me; so many fine scenes and images of family. Thanks for the site.

An Elephant Blog. Seems to be abandoned, but some beautiful photographs still available for viewing.

Okay, that would have been so much better had it not been accompanied by "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." I friggin' hate that song. But the imagery was beautiful.
