When: Monday, June 20. 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Where: Watha T. Daniel/Shaw Library 630 7th Street NW Washington, DC. After the reading, we'll have a discussion on the topic of Christianity/Slavery/the black community. I'll also be signing books.

@scronny

Can you give the information on the reading here? I know it's hard to believe, but not everyone in the world is on facebook.

I would have said it's not literature, it's propaganda. They're completely impervious to reality but they need to be reminded that not everyone buys into this nonsense.

"My first thought was, that's what pimps do."

He, he, he!

Yeah, I also noticed an ad at a bus stop. It had a very depressed looking woman on it and it said something along the lines of "Feel like life is pointless? God can give you purpose." My first thought was, that's what pimps do.

I haven't seen the site, but frankly why be surprised? DC is mainly administered by African Americans and most of them are extremely religious. No need for any AA to come here and tell me he's an AA and not religious. Of course you're not, you're reading stuff on Atheist Nexus. The most religious group in the US are African American women and they are a majority in the DC administration. So that sign is actually making sense.
