Hi Steph,
It's Colleen. I'm in Colorado and would love to volunteer to do anything I wish I had some meaningful skills but was an Anthropology undergrad (my passion) and have my master's in education as a counselor. I counsel kids. Should have stuck with Anthro. Anyway.... I've I'm interested in promoting A/N, atheism, locally, in my town or state. I would like some information about giving to charitable organizations on behalf of A/N. How is this done? Like if I were to begin a toy drive or something and wanted to have it be an Atheist Nexus Toy Drive, how is that done? And does anyone out there have experience with charitable contributions or charity drives. I've never done anything like it, but I donate things all the time and give money when I can. I'd like to be able to advertise in our local paper about a toy/food/drive for let's say, food to be donated to Food Bank of the Rockies ( an organization that collects food for needy people). How do I get this "appoved"? By Brother Richard? Or is there a specific protocol set up for this?

I'll see what I can do for Northern California. What sort of local promotions did you have in mind, or are we free to develop our own ideas?
