If Mormons having a parade is going to drive you insane the problem is not with the Mormons, it is with you (unless you are stuck in a traffic jam caused by the parade). When the gay pride parade came through people pretty much put up with it. Religious people can really piss me off too, but I'm not pissed that they exist - I'm pissed off at things like them supporting Prop 8, id est they are getting pissed that people different from themselves exist. My point is take it easy, you are new here, try to get along, go on a hike in the beautiful mountains, and don't give yourself a heart attack.

I've been god-free since 1988.
I've been trapped in Salt Lick City since 2008, and will probably be stuck here until 2013 or so (wife doing a PhD in Evil-Mad-Scientist).
I vacillate between trying to ignore the Mormons, and experiencing "hyper-rage" at the Mormons.
I think this upcoming "pioneer day" state holiday is going to push me into hyper-rage, again.

Hello everyone, I'm a St. George Utah atheist, and even though there are people that aren't Mormons here, they mostly all still believe in God. I've used my blog Godlessons as an outlet for the last several months, although I've been an atheist for about 10 years now.

I still live in Utah (Salt Lake to be exact), and I just try to ignore the people in my neighborhood about religion. Besides, most of my friends aren't even religious or are out atheists, so it makes it nice for me in that regard.
