That's my go to drip, press, etc. grinder (for espresso I use a Baratza Vario)...but you should be very happy with that set up.

This morning was a 6oz Cappuccino and a 3 oz. Cortado both brewed with Panama Elida Estate beans roasted to CityPlus....VERY fruity espresso, very complex.  Too bad I only had 1 pound and it's almost gone... :-(

That brewer and something like a Baratza Encore would be a killer set up for auto drip. Just adjust the grind to taste.

Thanks Nathan I think I'll get a high end machine for me and my mom. I think I'll go and order the machines you mentioned. I'm looking them up now. And I'll also get some high end
grinders.

In regard to machines not lasting, most people don't clean or descale their machines like they should either.

If you want a high quality drip machine, look up the Bonavita or a technivorm. Those are two of the auto drip machines endorsed by the Specialty Coffee Association of America. They differ from most home machines because they actually heat the water up to the appropriate 195-205 degrees F. Most home machines don't, incl Keurigs.

Or better yet, get a nice grinder, a kettle, and a French press or pour over cone, or Aeropress and make one up at a time. That's as close as I get to doing something religiously. Haha!

You are right Richard. I think they make them just to last a few years or so. Even the expensive coffee makers just don't last. I might have to buy a commercial type coffee maker next.

My mom has the Keurig coffee maker (I got her for xmas) ..that you put the cups of different coffee in to brew.
