My introduction to the music of Vangelis came in 1981. It was from the film Chariots of Fire and I was a young boy just turned thirteen.

The following year, Blade Runner was released. And, the music of Vangelis was a dark melodic combination of classic composition and futuristic synthesizers (mainly a Yamaha CS-80) which mirrors the film-noir retro-future envisioned by Ridley Scott.
