hi tonya, i started reading meditations, but got bored; it's too slow for me.....i'm reading anthem right now, and just getting to the good part; she is confusing me with the "we" and "they" and "us" though.

Reading Aurelius will make you a stoic by boring any passion for life out of you. Same thing with Seneca.

Machiavelli is a good read. His plays are well worth reading.

I read Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" a couple of times in the late 1960's and early 1970's, but I've forgotten most of it. The copy I have was published by A.L. Burt, New York in the late 1800's and is in near pristine condition.

I must be the odd man out.  I loved Meditations!!  You have to skip over the first chapter, though.  Go straight to the meat.
